This is our third Maloja cataloque. What's so special about a Maloja cataloque? First it is the spirit in which it is generated - it is the proof that discussion among passionate people can lead to harmonic results. It is the mutual understanding that all working on this projects are experts and respect each other for their field of expertise: Design of the collection & graphical input, photography, editorial design & art direction, text, post-production, pre-print organisation and print, embellishment and book binding. This time the cover is made of grey-board. One thick and one thin version. The thicker is embossed with the collection logo for next year's "HiSociety" Logo, the thinner carries the logo in a ball-pen design. Inside certain pages are shorter than the rest to emphasis their content.
Grey-board is a very contemporary material. It is brilliant for embossing, it is 100% recycled, it is - dependent on treatment and design - old-school and yet modern; it is organic and gains patina quickly, it is soft to grab and yet strong. Melville likes grey-board.

Diese Saison ist das Cover aus Grau-Pappe. Eine dicke und eine dünnere Version. Der Dicken wurde das Logo für die nächstjährige "HiSociety"-Kollektion eingeprägt, die Dünnere trägt das Logo in Kugelschreiber-Optik. Im Inneren sind bestimmte Seiten verkürzt um deren Inhalt vom Rest abzuheben.
Grau-Pappe ist ein sehr Zeit-gemäßes Material. Es lässt sich genial prägen und ist 100% recycled, außerdem ist es an sich - je nach Behandlung und Design - gleichermaßen "old-school" als auch modern; es ist organisch und bekommt sehr schnell Patina, es fühlt sich weich an und ist stabil. Melville likes Grau-Pappe.
